EQLZ Partners with Bigger Than Sneakers to Launch Student-Designed EQLZ 247 Basketball Shoe

In an exciting partnership, footwear brand EQLZ has teamed up with the non-profit organization Bigger Than Sneakers (BTS) to release the EQLZ 247 basketball shoe, designed by students as part of BTS Academy’s annual mentorship program. This collaboration not only highlights creativity but also serves as a testament to the power of community-driven projects, with proceeds supporting BTS Academy’s youth programs.

The EQLZ 247 basketball shoe, designed by students from BTS Academy, stands out for its bold black and purple colorway and the slogan "Go Play" on the heel. The design was inspired by the idea of the North Star, symbolizing direction and purpose, and reflects the values of authenticity and creativity that both BTS Academy and EQLZ aim to promote. Through this collaboration, students gained hands-on experience in shoe design, learning skills that will serve them far beyond this project.

Proceeds from the sale of the BTS x EQLZ 247 basketball shoe will fund educational and mentorship programs at BTS Academy, further supporting the organization’s mission to empower and uplift young minds. The shoes were officially launched at a special pop-up event in Cincinnati on October 18, 2024, bringing together sneaker enthusiasts, students, and community leaders to celebrate the collaboration.
