Laylah Dawkins, a junior at Lincoln Park Academy, walked into her first ever trading card signing not knowing what to expect.

She shared that she was nervous at first, unsure how many people would show up or how the event would go. That nervousness quickly faded once she saw her coaches, teammates, and community members lining up to support her.

Within minutes, the cards were gone.

Laylah expressed how excited she was about the event becoming such a huge success, especially since she initially did not know what to expect. Seeing that level of support made the moment even more meaningful.

From Nervous to Overwhelmed With Support

What started with quiet nerves quickly turned into nonstop smiles, laughter, and autograph signing.

Kids proudly held their new trading cards. Parents took photos. Teammates cheered her on. The store felt like it was rallying behind one young athlete’s journey.

This was more than a signing. It was recognition of hard work and dedication.

Community Support Turned the Event Into Something Special

A major part of what made the day run so smoothly was the support from Kayy Love Management.

The signing came at a perfect time in Laylah’s basketball season.
